" PITTSBURGH (AP)—Wide receiver Hines Ward apparently will get his wish to finish his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ward, about to enter the final season of his contract, agreed Saturday to a contract extension that will pay him a lower salary than the $5.8 million he was to make this season but will make up the money in a signing bonus.
"

I like it... I think it's a good move. And the Steelers were very busy, what with the NFL draft, and trading down to get more picks in the 3rd round. Also reworked Ike Taylor's contract.

The Steelers are very, very good at getting things done under the salary cap. They get the right people at the right price and the right times (mostly). Re-working deals in what I would assume was a respectful process towards the players involved in order to free up room for incoming talent, excellent.
